Back in 2020, I found myself drawn to the non-alcoholic beverage category. I can’t say exactly why at the time — I just saw the forest through the trees. Something in me knew it was going to become an important space to focus on.
When I began my research, I quickly realized that there really wasn’t a great product on the market. Most options were flavorless, flat, and without dimension. If you enjoyed wine, sparkling, or champagne, the products available then left you unsatisfied. I knew that had to change.
The Journey to Creating IYLIA
It wasn’t easy. I went through three separate facilities across Spain before I found the right partner to bring my vision to life. In fact, even as recently as two years ago, many Spanish producers couldn’t understand why I wanted to remove alcohol from wine.
You see, in Spain — and across much of Europe — this is still a very new and emerging category. People didn’t understand the premise. But I believed in it. I stayed committed until I finally found the right team, the right process, and the right product to introduce to the world.
